Mountain Dwarf

These dwarves are home in Enor and Belor Daeg. They are sturdy and hardy, used to freezing temperatures and tough climate. They are generally colder to outsiders than their cousins, Hill Dwarves. They mostly congregate in Mil Bazon and Morangl. Stubborn as any pack of mules, despite their standoffishness once you make friends you are friends for life. Like their Hill cousins, the mountain dwarves are fervent in worship of Kord and Moradin, though they also worship Pelor and Erathis. They are also devout practitioners of ancestral reverence, bordering on worship. Clans are everything to a Mountain Dwarf. and where you came from is more important than your desires. As such, many statues are erected as tall as towers. Since the majesty and power is more important than the realistic accuracy — a key difference between them and their Hill Dwarf cousins — the statues are brutalist, often seen holding up the roofs or planted directly into the foundation of the city itself, though that is reserved for the actual founders.
