Thindrongol Gorm, Vault of Treasured Wisdom

The grand library of the City-State of Ulzharrag, the Thindrongol Gorm (Vault of Treasured Wisdom) was the crown jewel of the city, a master edifice filled with a wealth of knowledge of old Valeguard and the arcane arts. The knowledge collected here included some of the oldest accounts of the Dawn War, and some of the most obscure and forgotten spells, some of which are said to have only been cast once before. Powerful spells were woven into the very stone of the library which meant that no amount of scrying or divination magic could steal the knowledge held within. A great brass door of an arcane-mechanical creation lay open to the entrance into the library. Removing a single orb on the door would render it locked through technology that was said to be able to imprison even the Gods. Although gaining entrance was not difficult, they needed their secrets protected in times of war.

In the deepest sanctum of the library was the Council of Eight's chambers (Azamar Thrynaz or ‘Eternal Law’) where the eight masters of the schools of magic held the meetings that ran the city. This room also was home to their most ancient and powerful tomes, grimoires, and spell books. The Council of Eight had a rotating (ten year position) title of Magnus whose vote could be cast a second time if needed to break a tie, although this option was rarely needed.
