Though this does not happen anymore, in his younger years King Gundarsson was known to have fought in many fights, on and off a battlefield. He has a scar that goes over his right eye, starting just above it and going down the middle over his cheek. Furthermore he has one massive scar at a slight angle from on his chest and several smaller scars all over his body from other battles.

King Gundarsson wears a bear pelt all around his upper body and shoulders. He does wear clothes that will keep him warm, but no visible armor. His weapon of choice is his greatsword which is said to hold the cold of Miskunnheimr in it.
