Personal history
Ashaan was the eldest member of the green dragonborn tribe and, with the death of the previous chief, the most powerful magic user, leaving her as the interim chief as they decided on who would take the tribe forward. At the end of her life, she looked frail and tired, but could muster up sufficient energy to defend herself and also to perform what were some impressive feats of magic. The primal nature of magic at the time, however, meant that use of her powers could trigger some unpredictable effects.
She made the decree that Kru would become leader if he could discover the power of magical flight that his father had taken to the grave, and if not the adopted brass dragonborn Kral would lead the tribe.
When a group of strangers appeared claiming the ability to teach the tribe how to fly, Kral attempted to assassinate Kru and was killed in the attempt. Ashaan had felt that Kral was the better choice for leader, but was left with no choice but to approve Kru taking over.
She decided to try and assist Kru's obsession over bringing back flight to the tribe and when Kru approached her with a ritual that he said would achieve his goal she attempted to assist. The disastrous ritual ultimately destroyed the green dragonborn utterly, but Ashaan was the first victim, her ancient body giving out almost instantaneously to the mutations that ravaged the tribe.

Ashaan was a literalist and got annoyed by factual inaccuracy. She was inquisitive and pragmatic in her decisions.

She had a loud and boisterous laugh, furrowed her brow when thinking, and tilted her head to the left when listening.

Ashaan spoke with a slow and steady voice, with a distinct raspiness to it. She sounded weary at everything, probably because, at her advanced age, she really was.
