Dwarven

Dwarven is a widely spoken language but its written form originated with the dwarves and thus it became associated with them as a species, although it is actually very similar to giant with which is shares its roots. Its script is runic. Orally it uses many clicks, guttural sounds and glottal stops. It resonates in the back of the throat. No vowels are written separately in the runic dwarven script, but a vowel following a consonant is indicated by vertical strokes under the consonant rune.
