Gaither's Pass
The original path discovered to and from the Empyrean Spires, Gaither’s Pass was discovered by a group of dwarves fleeing from the goblin invasion of The Sanctuary. Only one of the dwarves, Pascal Gaither, returned south from the region, carrying word of the unexplored area and its abundant mineral deposits.
Initially, Gaither’s Pass saw heavy traffic as many flocked north seeking fortunes, but once Prospect Heights was discovered at the eastern end of the valley and found to be a more easily traversable, if longer, route for caravans, Gaither’s Pass saw its importance and traffic fall.
However, it remains an important pass through the mountains and keeps relatively busy. Astigill sits near the end of the route as it crests a flat topped mountain and descends quickly into the valley below, winding its way and finally ending in the city of Azrir.
