Drakeshade Forest

The Drakeshade Forest is a large forest to the south-west of The Drakeseat Mountains, west of Laranna. It stretches around the western end of the mountain range, from Laranna, to Erivale, and north as far as Colton's March.

Geography

Growing at the foot of the western spur of The Drakeseat Mountains, the geography of the Drakeseat Forest is fairly similar to its sister-forest, the Forest of Reflection, which grows on the opposite side of the valley in which Laranna sits. The terrain is gentle, rising into foothills at the base of the mountains. The majority of the forest sits to the north of The Lifeblood River, as it makes its turn west from Laranna, and is sandwiched between the river and the mountains. The forest does extend to the west of the river, however, after it turns north, near to Erivale. The forest growth is relatively healthy; not overgrown, and is considered easily passable for most travellers.
