The Winged Peak
The Winged Peak is a 3,745-metre (12,287 feet) mountain of The Drakeseat Mountains, in central Vallanna. Away from the main trade-road through the mountains, the Winged Peak can be found approximately 43km (27 miles) north-east of Laranna, and 32km (20 miles) to the south-east of Shalefast. The mountain is the tallest peak in the range.
Surrounded on multiple sides by other treacherous peaks, and in a relatively remote and inaccessible location within the mountain range, it has been some time since an ascent of the mountain has been attempted. The last recorded ascents occured in the 11th century AoU, when the remaining dragons of the range were hunted down by an order of heroic Dragonslayers. During that era, it was rumoured that The Winged Peak was home to multiple dragon nests, although due to the secretive nature of the Dragonslayers and the lack of subsequent investigation, such tales remain only rumour.
