Ljósálfar
Similar to the Svartálfar, this species has been around for just as long as they shared the same home in Álfheimr in the beginning of recorded time. Also called the Light Elves, they are one of the most magically inclined species and are able to perform feats of magic that even make the Elves that originate from Arvandor in the outer realms of Arborea jealous. Most are extremely calm even during the most trying of times and duress. The bulk of them have some manner of training in how to use their innate magic and combat skills, with the military being extremely adept at fighting for long times without faltering. They have continually strived to improve the culture, academics, & philosophy that drive their society. The architecture they build with is of pristine beauty & grandiosity while being designed to survive any damage with minimal impact. Only time will tell if they are able to maintain their hold on the ancestral lands and prove the ultimate victors in the Álfheimr War.

Basic Information
Anatomy
Members of the species have four limbs in total, with a distribution of two arms and two legs. Their bones and muscles are less dense than Svartálfar, though they make up for this by using their innate magic to help reinforce the body beyond what would be its normal limits. Genetics and Reproduction
Sexual reproduction is the main process by which they maintain their numbers and grow with the average pregnancy length being a full year.
Growth Rate & Stages
Ljósálfar age at a much slower rate than other Elves across the realms, with maturity being reached at 120 years old on average. Once they reach adulthood, they will cease to age at a noticeable rate with a near limitless lifespan.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Ljósálfar are omnivorous in nature able to each both meat and plant matter with little distaste for most things. Both are eaten in balance as there is an abundance of arable land to provide for plant consumption and animal husbandry.
Biological Cycle
Upon reaching adulthood, both sexes start to grow large antlers on their head that harden over time as they age further. The female's antlers grow slightly more intertwined upon each other with the end being slightly blunted. The male's antlers grow out more like straightened branches and sharpen into points that can pierce wood & thin metal.

Average Intelligence
Most are considered to be extremely intelligent with several years of expertise, education, and life experience influencing the choices they make. Each member of the species has the potential to gain several lifetimes of knowledge and world experience to temper it. Several years of education in warfare is also required to provide each individual the capacity for defense.
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Ljósálfar have extremely heightened natural senses of both hearing and sight beyond the ranges of most sentient life; this grants Proficiency in Perception. They also have Darkvision (60 feet) allowing them to see in the dark and other dim lit areas. Furthermore all members are innately able to sense magic in the surrounding area as well as surges that occur as if Detect Magic (120 feet) was active at all times.

Major Organizations
The bulk of the species belong to the city of Ljosalfgard and the territories that it claims within Álfheimr. Few of the species reside with other groups or organizations as those would have been wiped out by the war with the Svartálfar or subsumed by the main civilization.

History
Initially existing in harmony with the Svartálfar in the early days before the GodFall event. What happened between the two is unknown, mostly due to the loss of records from the fighting/death/destruction, yet they eventually they went to war over the Álfheimr and to who would be the ultimate species to control the realm. At some point in the Álfheimr War, they gained an upperhand that has long since been unremembered that allowed them to drive the Svartálfar to Nifleheim for their continued survival.

Most members have a skin tone that ranges from soft white to pearl white. Rare member have shimmering blue-white skin which denotes them as having affinity with magic beyond most of the race.
