Rock Plains
The Rock Plains, which span the entirety of the Karinga Region are a fairly inhospitable wasteland to those unfamiliar with its navigation. To the unlearned, food and water sources are scarce, though the Cairn claim it to be more welcoming than any other place in Astagua.
Topography
Dotted with rolling hills, broken trees, and loose gravel, the Rock Plains are difficult for large groups of people to safely traverse. Without intimate knowledge of food and water sources, it frequently proves as dangerous as a desert. Though elevation changes are never severe, except when approaching the Cairnbrow Mountains, the lack of water exhausts forces long before muscle fatigue would. There are also packs of gnolls that roam the plains, but they tend to keep to themselves, away from Westwatch and Caiir.
