Sisu Grove

Once connected to the greater Evergrove Forest, Sisu Grove was circumnavigated at the beginning of the war because of the immensely thick underbrush, which slowed already difficult navigation. By the time the need for significant amounts of lumber came, the lumbermills were tens of miles away and already bordering deeper parts of the forest. As such, Sisu Grove was spared.
Throughout the war, and for a few years after it, it remained untouched by the races of man. For the Haki who have moved in for communal existence, it is a glimpse at how things were before Unification, before the introduction of Humans to Nivasa, and even to how things were in Locrati before the Underwood Wars.
Like the surviving parts of Evergrove Forest to the north, the ecology of Sisu Grove is cramped and often unpredictable. The village of Nytralea has been coexisting with the grove, but fighting off increasingly more aggressive and numbered ankhegs. As bad as they are, the village knows there are certainly worse monsters waiting in the shadows.
