Whispering Pines
The Whispering Pines, on the southern border of the Cairnbrow Mountains and up to the eastern cliffs of the Bronze Strait, earned its name from the creatures (or perhaps spirits) within which whisper to passersby. These whispers can be maddening to a feeble mind and many would-be adventurers have succumbed to the dark desires of the forest.
Rumors
Splattered remains of the forest's prey dot the paths near the mountains and cliffs while the songs of sirens are carried on the breeze. The woods once caught fire during a thunderstorm, but the fire hardly spread; some said the torrential downpour put it out, others says the whispers calmed the flames. In any case, the rumors and myths surrounding the wood vary so much in scope and detail that one must only expect the unexpected when venturing into the heart of the forest.
