The Yangjin Order
Originally founded in 658 AC by the emperor at the time, Deng Xinya, The Yangjin Order was an order of monks trained for war and to uphold religious beliefs and help spread Taoism across Zhangwu. The order kept the same priorities until 2132 AC, where they pulled their efforts away from training for war and focused more on religious studies and pilgrimages to holy sites. The monks were still trained on how to use weapons, but it was mainly for performance purposes and self-defense.
After the arrival of The Knights Order, the monks saw what was to come and went back to their old roots of training for war, and significant improvements had been made in the thousands of years since they first started and were considered one of the most skilled warriors in the entire world.
Until the year 799 AC, the order had always only consisted of men, until Alicia Tamsin was left by the front gate of their temple. She was raised as one of them, trained for war and she would be the person who changed the acceptance for new members. A few years after she left the order to serve Oaris, they started accepting women into their monastery where they would undergo the same training and upbringing as the men.
The Yangjin Order made some of the finest warriors ever seen, including Li Fang who currently serves under Cheng Lei as one of his most trusted captains.
