Grubaa
Background
Grubaa was born to an orcish father and a human mother in the slums of Stonehelm. As a child, he learned to fight to protect himself from bullies and other dangers in the rough neighborhood. He quickly discovered that he had a natural talent for combat and began training with various weapons, eventually settling on the halberd as his weapon of choice. As he grew older, Grubaa became known for his discipline and focus in battle. He joined a mercenary company and quickly rose through the ranks, earning the respect of his fellow soldiers. However, he eventually grew disillusioned with the company's code of honor and left to pursue a different cause. Grubaa found himself drawn to the poachers, who he saw as fighting for their own survival in a harsh world, something his father imposed a great importance in. He joined their ranks and quickly proved himself as a skilled fighter and strategist. He was eventually put in charge of his own small group of poachers, who he led with a stern but fair hand.Guild Interactions
Grubaa was briefly met during Expedition 13a - Slumming it up in the Big City when the Cartographers (Felix, Gnaa, & Pitter-Patter) infiltrated the poacher's hideout and Tomves Rimvera introduced them to the members located there. He was later found in the Sewer Pit Fighting Club during Expedition 23b - Surviving the Stink Smasher by Enik & Wally while they were in pursuit of Drog & Guk Morningstar. Grubaa was actually sitting at a table in the fighters lounge with Drog & Guk Morningstar, as well as the pit fighters Krezka & Snugug. Grubaa took this opportunity to act as an intermediary for this conflict and told the Cartographers that 569 gold pieces would clear Guk's debt from Drog as well as covering and related fees. The Cartographers ended up with enough coin to pay the fee, which Grubaa distributed between himself, Krezka, Snugug, & Drog. Grubaa ensures Guk is released and thanks the Cartographers for their business as he counted his coins. Wally & Enik do notice that Grubba & Snugug have an uncanny resembliance...
