Culture

Members of House Fenn are known for axes and skiffs. The lightning bolt of their crest refers to their lightning fast skiffs that skim across Ydall's Heart and connects the Heartlands to Hero's Rest and Greenburn . Knights of Fenn disregard the traditional swords and favor large battleaxes and greataxes that require extreme strength to lift, a sign of strength for the Fenn's. Fenn would always defend themselves with their axes, but they would also spend most of their time out sailing the calm waters of Ydall's Heart.   The commonfolk think of Fenn as cheery people that make great drinking buddies, and worse enemies.

History

House Fenn were one of the first set of nobles to arrive to the Birchwoods during the time of Gorm Vaele, and helped connect the Vaele family to the rest of the Empire. They were tasked with collecting as much wood as possible from the forest, but were then reprimanded by Grag, Gorm's son, for cutting down too many trees. Despite some friction, House Fenn has remained loyal and close to House Vaele, and many of the descendants of Fenn carry Vaele blood, easily seen through their large and hairy frames.
