Iron Spear

A holy relic from the time of the hero Veler, the Tempest whose wielder rules over the Iron Empire . The Iron Spear is half of Veler's infamous Windspear. The Windspear was 14 feet long and could only be wielded by Veler, and the essence of Veler's soul remains with the Iron Spear. It was given to the First King, Glorius, just before Veler's Rest.
The weapon of Veler, the Windspear was 14 feet long of pure iron (according to the Iron Empire ), or soulbound wood (according to the Tribes of Soleri) that could only be lifted by Veler himself, such was his strength. The Windspear, aptly named, could control the weather. Pure storms of power could be summoned on a whim, thunderclaps summoned, lightning shot forth. It was the power of storms, and gave Veler the control over the greatest elemental power in Vaskeer. According to The Iron Creed, when Veler died, he broke his spear in half and gave the First King Glorius half of the Windspear, which would become known as the Iron Spear , and was a sign of monarchy in the Empire. Veler was buried with the other half in Veler's Barrow in Hero's Rest .
