Lenwir

After the cataclysm desolated the western side of the continent, shattering the land and scouring the verdant grasslands into a desert. The continent fell to disarray and bickering. Great cities had been scoured of life and great Dwarf holds had collapsed to nothing. The majority of the population died within the initial cataclysm, only the cities farthest from the capital survived. Though earthquakes and tsunamis triggered by the cataclysm shattered what survived. Ancient buildings were torn down and obliterated and any attempts to rebuild were hampered by being cut off from Taelon and the chaotic world.   Soon warring bands and roving gangs began to rise, carving areas for themselves and falling in battles. The remaining races of Lenwir became suspicious and hostile of each other. Their actions warlike and the great western forest, Xieyin and dwarf holds became unwelcome to the humans of the plains and deserts. Even the Abormark Heights can only be crossed in great strength and determination.   Soon monsters and fear crept back into the world as none were safe who lived on the continent. After the initial dust settled, nations grew and fell, as times of war and peace came and went. Now a dozen kingdoms and collectives exist across Lenwir, the two most prominent being the desert kingdom of Sabal and the plains kingdom of Nemir.    With their growth war was inevitable as they sough what the other had and a great war erupted, for years the nations fought across the continent. Only recently has a tenuous peace been formed, though that ignores raids and skirmishes along the border. For those of Nemir seek the ancient artefacts buried under the Sabal'har Desert and the denizens of Sabal seek the rich fertile lands of Nemir for themselves.

    The War of the Wood
