Arcanists Society

The Arcanists Society is a private and prestigious guild and college for wizards and sorcerers. The guild members gain access to special tomes of magic, spell reagents, and specialized experimentation chambers for developing new magic. The Society is also a small school, which outside of Azimere, is one of the few places to properly train in magic.
Acceptance as a student and especially as a guild member is expensive and time consuming, requiring several magical trials to prove your aptitude. In addition, the guild has a charter to help the city and its people, so those wizards looking to learn magic for purely selfish or evil reasons will be quickly rejected.
