Kerahell ("Care-ah-hell")
Goddess of Knowledge and Healing
The Church of Kerahell shies away from the spotlight like other churches (Soleen, etc). Kerahell has small temples in many locations that provide healing and schooling to their community. What Kerahell is known most for are their vast hidden libraries and archives of books. Thousands of tomes, illustrations, letters, and manuscripts are categorized, reproduced, and secured away with access granted to only those deemed in most need.
The clergy of Kerahell are known for the writing, binding, illuminating, and librarian skills. They care for the history of the world as well as keeping its documented secrets...secret.
Mearscon houses the largest temple to Kerahell with hundreds of books in a large library, as well as classrooms used by the city's people and a restorative ward for healing the sick and injured. It is an oddity then, that the largest wealth of books, by the thousands, are stored very securely deep underground in the Temple of Kerahell in the woods outside the small town of Edlan Home.
There is a very rare group of the clergy known as the Wanderers. These are the chosen clerics who wander Verenn, seeking to heal and protect the world and seek out its knowledge not by burying their heads in books but by exploring the world and its dangers.
Kerahell has no official order of knights/paladins connected with it. They rely on the assistance of other churches and governments in military matters.
