Kerahell ("Care-ah-hell")

Goddess of Knowledge and Healing   The Church of Kerahell shies away from the spotlight like other churches (Soleen, etc). Kerahell has small temples in many locations that provide healing and schooling to their community. What Kerahell is known most for are their vast hidden libraries and archives of books. Thousands of tomes, illustrations, letters, and manuscripts are categorized, reproduced, and secured away with access granted to only those deemed in most need.   The clergy of Kerahell are known for the writing, binding, illuminating, and librarian skills. They care for the history of the world as well as keeping its documented secrets...secret.   Mearscon houses the largest temple to Kerahell with hundreds of books in a large library, as well as classrooms used by the city's people and a restorative ward for healing the sick and injured. It is an oddity then, that the largest wealth of books, by the thousands, are stored very securely deep underground in the Temple of Kerahell in the woods outside the small town of Edlan Home.   There is a very rare group of the clergy known as the Wanderers. These are the chosen clerics who wander Verenn, seeking to heal and protect the world and seek out its knowledge not by burying their heads in books but by exploring the world and its dangers.   Kerahell has no official order of knights/paladins connected with it. They rely on the assistance of other churches and governments in military matters.

The 10 Writings of Kerahell

1 - The Pursuit of Knowledge: Understand that wisdom is the highest form of divine worship. Every discovery and learning is a step closer to the divine.   2 - The Preservation of Wisdom: It is a sacred duty to collect, preserve, and protect the accumulated wisdom of the ages. Great libraries are hallowed grounds, repositories of divine truth.   3- The Spreading of Enlightenment: Education is a divine right. Spread knowledge and understanding, ensuring that all have access to learning and the opportunity to pursue personal growth.   4 - The Protection of Innocence: Compassion extends to the defense of the innocent. Protect those who cannot protect themselves, guided by wisdom and justice.   5 - The Strength of Justice: True knowledge brings understanding of justice. Strive to uphold and enact justice, ensuring fairness and equity in all dealings, and using their wisdom to resolve conflicts.   6 - The Value of Truth: In all things, the pursuit of truth is paramount. Lies and deceit in written form are anathema, as they cloud understanding and lead people away from enlightenment.   7 - The Encouragement of Curiosity: Question the world around them. Curiosity is not just a trait but a commandment, leading to deeper understanding and the expansion of knowledge.   8 - The Sharing of Wisdom: Hoarding knowledge is seen as a sin. Believe in the free exchange of ideas, understanding that wisdom grows when shared except when knowledge is dangerous in the wrong hands.   9 - The Humility in Learning: Recognizing that no one can ever attain complete knowledge, approach learning with humility, always open to new ideas and corrections.   10 - The Search for Innovation: Stagnation is the enemy of knowledge. Innovate, think creatively, and apply learning to improve the world around you.
