Morescall Prison (Moor-scal)

Long ago, and old fortress was constructed into the growing town that would one day become Mearscon. Over the years, its defensive purpose was replaced by the Castle of the Storm. The older fortress was then converted into a prison for the young city's criminals.
Morescall prison is an imposing structure of huge walls with battlements, towers with heavy oil lamps and magic lighting, prison guards, and dozens and dozens of cells of different sizes and purposes crammed into the old keep.
The more lenient the punishment, the higher in a wall or on the surface level a prisoner will be jailed. More serious criminals are taken to the nastier cells below the prison.

"They'll send yah deep in Morescall for that." - Old criminal taunt for serious crimes
