Princess Miriha Al-Sharaf (a.k.a. Miri)
Princess Miriha (or Miri for short) is the daughter of Sultana Nala Al-Sharaf and twin sister to Prince Sargon. She is smart, nimble, and a fairly good speaker, if not a bit of a prankster at times. People say she got her reckless behavior from her mother, who jokingly argues that it was family friends Aslyn and Wolfsbane who were bad influences on her children.
Though Miri is not destined to take the throne of the Osmad Sultanate, she has still proven herself to be a compassionate and capable leader.

Personal history
Miriha and her twin brother Sargon were born shortly after Nala Al-Sharaf became Sultana and after she became wed to Salah Saleem. Even at a young age, the twins were particularly gifted. Miri turned out to be more curious and intelligent than her twin brother, as well as more reckless. The two had many role models growing up: Nassaire, Wolfsbane, Aslyn, and of course their mother.
Much like her mother, Miriha grew to care deeply for the people of Bekilk, and in her free time, she would often be seen helping the less fortunate and caring for orphaned children. Even during the Terminus Contagion, a terrible pandemic that ravaged the Empire and the Sultanate, Miri was out amongst the ill, tending to each and every person she could.
As with all royal young adults in the Sultanate, Miri was visited by suitors local and afar. Of course none of them were interesting to Miri, except the young prince Troy DeWitt of the Veridian Empire, whom she had met before when she accompanied her mother on trips up north. A few months and a life-threatening event later, the two decided to get engaged, each with their parents' blessing. It would be the wedding of the prince and princess of two major nations; such a high profile betrothal has not occurred in decades, and obviously there some resistance. People believed the engagement was purely political to secure an alliance between the Sultanate and the Empire. But the truth is that Miri and Troy are simply in love, and to them, the politics are irrelevant. With the wedding date set in the upcoming weeks, Miri expects it to be perfect. After all, it will be her special day. And it will be an important day for the whole Veridian Continent.
