The Eclipse Revolution
On this day, the desert city of Bekilk, occupied by the Church of the Sun, came under siege by the forces of the Eclipse, the rebel group that, until then, only fought with shadow ops.

The small but determined force of the Eclipse assaulted the city after secretly gaining support and power. Aided by Princess Nala, Baron Wolfsbane, and many other dedicated heroes, their determination overcame the numbers of the Church and many within the city were inspired to rise up against the radical religion. The conflict was resolved in less than a day.
This fateful day, also coincidentally the day a solar eclipse was visible in the region, led to the defeat of the Church and the reinstatement of the Al-Sharaf dynasty.
The Conflict
Prelude
In the weeks following the destruction of the Eclipse's main headquarters under Bekilk, the rebel group had been steadily building up support and acquiring weapons. They launched their attack when they felt they were ready.
Deployment
The Eclipse began their assault after blowing up the wall. The Bekilk guards were caught by surprise and had little time to prepare defenses.
Battlefield
The majority of the engagement was fought in the streets of the city. Due to the sudden nature of the attack, both sides had to be careful as to avoid civilian casualties since there was no warning time. Close quarters and the density of buildings limited ranged attacks.

The Church of the Sun was defeated and the city of Bekilk was liberated. After a short debate between Nala, Daxter, and Yasmine, the leadership of the liberated city was rightfully returned to the Al-Sharaf dynasty with Nala taking over as Sultana.
Aftermath

Sultana Nala's leadership over the city led to its prosperity. It took much effort on her part to bring the citizens of the city back after being brainwashed by the Church of the Sun. Regardless, Nala returned the city back to its former glory and even beyond. Bekilk quickly became a gem of knowledge and beauty in the Osmad Desert; thousands of people flocked to the city and it expanded exponentially, becoming the desert jewel that is becomes in the Modern Era.
