The Tensor League

"If it's magic you're interested in, the Tensor League might have what you are looking for."

The regulation and development of magic is not handled by the nations of Veridia alone. This task calls upon the Tensor League, also referred to as the Mages' Guild. The Tensor League is a multinational organization of spellcasters and is devoted to the research and regulation of magic across the world, as well as the task of defending the world against magical threats. The Tensor league is present in all the nations of the world, except the The Dithian Empire in which magic is outlawed.   The guild accepts membership from anyone, but for those looking to jump start their membership attend the Tensor Academy in Felwinter. The Academy is the guild's only education program; members must learn magic elsewhere.   The Tensor League prefers to remain neutral in political conflicts, though its members can have their own political affiliations. Most of its members have no interest in politics, but sometimes, the League determines it needs to get itself involved. In this case, the Tensor League dispatches its own elite agents to enforce its will. These agents answer to no nation's law but the Tensor League. This leads to some concerns over the Tensor League's intentions and has earned the League a reputation of mistrust.

Structure

The organization is structured as a Technocracy, where the more magical capability one possesses equals organizational power.

Public Agenda

The Tensor League exists to serve its own interests, which include the regulation and advancement of magic. The Tensor League also sees itself as the primary defender of the world against magical threats.   The guild despises the practice of Necromancy when it comes to raising undead as well as the use of enchantment magic on unsuspecting individuals. They also seek to learn more about the strange form of magic known as Dunamancy, practiced in Toriel.
