Home of the Last Hearth

Come, enjoy the hearth.

The largest, most comfortable inn in the merchant ward of the city. The Home of the Last Hearth is a three story inn and tavern catering to a wide variety of patrons. Adventuring troupes passing through the city tend to gravitate towards it, not only because it has secure storage facilities for their gear, but also due to its excellent ale. For the latter reason, worshipers of the Forge Father often make their own appearances. The inn offers comfortable rooms of many different sizes, a wide selection of food and drink, and nightly entertainment.

Purpose / Function

On any given night the tavern is bustling with business and merriment. A troupe dances and perform on a small stage while patrons sing along and drink their cares away. Seating is hard to find most nights.

Alterations

The Hearth was originally a two story structure. The third story was a recent addition added to accommodate the inns growing popularity with patrons, travelers and adventurers. Donations from various adventuring companies helped fund the extension.

Architecture

This is a tudor and wood style building with a stone foundation. The building is large; the front of the building spans 50 feet in length and is one of the few three story structures of this type in the city. A large double door grants entrance into the inn, and once inside to the right, the bar can be located. The bar is split into two sections; a standard area for patrons and a shorter section for the more diminutive races that frequent the tavern. The main tavern floor has many tables and chairs, and some booths along the far back wall closest to the kitchen. The second and third stories, accessible via stairs located in the back of the main tavern room, are reserved for people renting accommodations. There is a cellar, used for the storage of ale casks and supplies, most food is delivers throughout a given week and arrives via a side entrance into the kitchen.
