Naiise
Skitter and scuttle, find your shelter. Slither and crawl, find the spider. With one hand she'll wipe away your tear, Within her silk you'll no longer suffer in fear. -Translated Fianni chant.Of the many Crann that walk the world, Naiise is by far one of the most feared. Her role as the Crann of suffering is not one to take lightly; and the recent crusades that lead to the near extinction of Elves on Tregaron has lead to massive rise in her popularity for those that still resent the humans for the atrocities committed during the wars.
Depictions
Naiise' depiction is unsettling. She has a human's face, with a twisted mockery of a torso that is forced to act as a thorax. She has eight arms that struggle to bear her own weight. Her legs are twisted into an overbearing abdomen. It's said that she struggles to speak in most languages, and often does so in a broken, segmented way. Naiise is also sometimes simply depicted as a gigantic black widow spider, but such a depiction is seen as more of a symbol than a proper appearance. Very few have returned from seeing Naiise's true form, as many that are deemed worthy enough to witness it must have suffered so greatly that they rarely wish to leave her protection. It's said that Naiise's wretched appearance is so crippled that she often doesn't move from one place, her arms left to rest at the ground whilst she quietly observes her nest. This isn't to be seen as a form of weakness, however; Naiise is capable of sporadic, ferocious bursts of energy that lash out at anyone and anything she deems as unworthy of stepping within her domain.A Hostile Matron
Whilst Naiise is known for being kind and even motherly towards the people that seek her out for protection and safety, her behaviour towards those that have yet to suffer is malicious, and downright lethal at worst. While Naiise desires to not let the world suffer for suffering's sake, her domain is a place that is meant to be exclusively for the unfortunate. Many view Naiise as fickle and unpredictable due to this hostile behaviour, but overstepping one's bounds into her territory is grounds for either seeking her out in hopes of finding protection, or hunting one of the many unfortunate souls that sought safety within her arms. To Naiise, the only kindness she needs to give to these people is the one hour grace period to leave her home should they find themselves lost- Otherwise, they will find themselves in a fate as equally unfortunate as the wretched folk that call the Webwood home.Divine Domains
While Naiise is often associated with suffering, her domain is complicated. Naiise is seen as the adoptive mother and guardian to all things that slither, skitter, and flap, and are considered revolting, repugnant, and grotesque by the standards of others. The lost and the wretched are beloved by her, while those that have yet to ever suffer in their life will soon feel pain with dripping, venomous fangs that grant them clarity of the agony that others feel in the world.
Naiise is a Crann that Elves and Fianni both fear due to her fickle nature, but revere for her loving, idle protection granted to those that have well and truly lost everything. Whilst the world may be bleak, Naiise's webs are always open to swaddle the poor, helpless souls that have no other option but to seek out her guidance.
Naiise is fond of reviled animals that are normally despised by others. Worms, skittering bugs, snakes -- and above all, spiders. Spiders are closely associated to Naiise, with every single arachnid in the world said to be one of her millions of children. Even to those that do not pay respects to Naiise, squashing a spider is said to bring Naiise' ire upon them.
Artifacts
Sufferer's Stone
There is a ritual for safe passage through the Webwood regardless of one's upbringing. This is granted through carrying a Sufferer's Stone; a rock made to serve as proof of one's willingness to bear the pain that Naiise bears. These rocks are made by making a long path of sharp, jagged rocks, left upright and firmly rooted from the ground. From there, those wishing to gain entry into Naiise' domain must crawl upon the path until blood is drawn from the hands and knees. One of these blood-soaked rocks is then taken to serve as a token of safe passage through the Webwood. One stone only allows for one passage, however; the moment Naiise receives the rock, she will keep it, and expect more if one wishes to wander into her domain in the future.

I quite like the duality and her being motherly towards the unfortunate. Also the body description is intriguing.
