Enclave

An alliance between the Church of Rosaris and the Vestrian Scholar Guilds, the Enclave studies and researches the Titanite Plague with the goal of ending it once and for all.

Structure

The Enclave is largely decentralized with scholars working independantly of each other while using the Church and its archives as the main repository for their research.

Culture

The shared goal of the Enclave shared amonst its members is the main force that keeps the effort cohesive. Given the two organizations backing the effort, there is often some tension between camps.    The more religious members have been known to be resistant to measures taken to research the plague such as conducting autopsies on its victims. Conversely, scholars tend to express frustration with their counterparts in the Church being obstinant with supplying them with records.   None of this is to say that collaboration is impossible. More moderate members on each side have proven their ability to put their differences aside for the sake of Vestria and its people.

Public Agenda

The Enclave sole purpose is to research the Titanite plague and find new ways to combat the disease with the end goal being to erradicate the illness.

Assets

The creation of the Enclave was to bring together the resources of the Church and Guilds in service of a shared goal.   Given the spread of influence it possesses, the Church provides vital channels of communication across the continent and between kingdoms. The Church's archives, having secured records and books pre-dating even the Draconic War, also provide a much needed history of the plague.   The scholars, in turn, provide research expertise across multiple fields. As the Guilds are not hampered by religious taboos such as the Church's mandate against autopsies, they possess a more indepth knowledge about how the plague affects its victims' bodies. Combined with mages trained in studying the magic and the properties of mana, they are well positioned to study the disease.
