Church of Rosaris

The main religion practiced in Vestria. The Church of Rosaris extends its resources beyond the borders of the various kingdoms, making it one of the most influencial institutions on the continent.

Structure

The Church is lead by the Archbishop, who functions as both a spiritual leader as well as the public face of the faith.    Beneath them, bishops are charged with overseeing the Church's functions in a given region/kingdom. They are also commonly tasked with managing the movements of the Rosar Knights between borders and amongst local forces.   On a more local scale, archdeacons preside over cities, appointing deacons to lead individual churches and smaller communities.   Finally, the bulk of day to day tasks are handled by priests and nuns with the help of acolytes in training.

Culture

The Rosarine Church has spent centuries building and earning a reputation for benevolance and aid to the downtrodden of Vestria and supporting civilization.   It emphasizes the gift of magic, especially Sun magic for its healing abilities as well as how figures in religious history commonly possessed the skill.

Public Agenda

Rosarine clergy often function as philanthropic entities in their communities with congregations opperating chapels, clinics, libraries, and orphanages.   The Church also hosts the Rosar Knights, who serves as a peacekeeping force not bound by the borders of a given kingdom.    It's influence across the continent also positions the Church well for being an authority on the exploration of Dwarven Ruins.

Assets

The Church boasts considerable resources in terms of finances, land, and manpower.

Tenets of Faith

Rosarine doctrine emphasizes the importance of patience, charity, community, and forgiveness.    Magic is treated as a blessing, particularly Sun magic as it is refered to as sign of one's purpose as a healer.

Ethics

In accordance with its tenets, followers of the Rosarine faith are encouraged to show compassion to those in their communities.   As such, doing harm to one's fellow man is seen as a sin be it through violence or willingly withholding aid from those who need it.
