Yixis, God of Death
Yixis
Yixis is the god of death he is worshiped by everyone as the one who guides loved ones into the afterlife. He isn't seen as an evil force that goes around killing people. It's more that he helps guide souls to where they are supposed to go in the afterlife. His followers are often coroners or priests who specialize in reading the rights of the dead.
Yixis, like his father, is often depicted as a robed figure with a silver bell. His hand is usually stretched out to help you up onto his boat.
People go to the temple to pray to Yixis whenever someone is on their deathbed and they want them to pass quickly without suffering or when a loved one dies they go there to hold a funeral and pray they find their way in the afterlife.
Yixis is the twin of Edona (Life). His parents are Melo (light) and Ombris (Darkness). He is also half-brothers with Yone (peace) through his mother. Despite his good relationship with his twin sister he is diametrically opposed to her domain.
