The Order of the Obsidian Gate
The Order of the Obsidian Gate, often referred to just as "The Order", is a religious network based primarily out of Aspengarde. Their influence is far reaching, and only the farthest settlements are free from their temples and legions.
Structure
The Order is ruled by the Aspengarde High Council. Each district of the city has a High Priest representative that makes decisions within the group.

Culture
The Order promotes hope and faith, but rules by fear. The broad belief is split among the population of the continent. Some think that the gods have abandoned them during an event called the Satori, in which the gods went quiet. The Order believes that the gods are testing their faith, and should they return, they will punish the naysayers and the nonbelievers.
They also keep the people in line by generating fear of the "dark magics". They consider non-holy magic to be evil and unnatural. As such, groups like the Visitors can no longer practice publicly.
