Eymundr Stormcaller

Eymundr Stormcaller is a solitary elvish transmutation wizard who lives north of Highcliff⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ in Frostfire Province⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣. He will occasionally cross paths with Maerglyd explorers, and they have teamed up a few times to combat monsters or obtain items of mutual interest for the purposes of joint study. He has never joined a magical household, preferring to live in his tower and pursue his own fields of study.
The elvish wizard is more heavyset and imposing than many of his race. He wears a long, dark blue, fur-lined robe that makes his pale skin look almost white. Over his dark brown hair, which falls to his mid-back, he wears a sparkling circlet that looks like it's made of ice crystals. Beneath the circlet, his eyes are sharp green, with stormy blue glints that match his robes. As he raises a hand in welcome, you are struck by how gracefully he moves – this is an elf completely in control of his body and surroundings.
He is pursuing control of the weather. He wants to figure out how to predict and control the storms in the upper atmosphere so that sky-travel can occur safely. He also wants to be able to create paradise by changing the environment to whatever one wants. He has created in his own tower a laboratory of different pockets of different environments for study.
His great-grandparents escaped the Burning, and their stories of the beauties of Oshira in the First Age stuck with him. He has rejected the elvish idea of living in harmony with nature and accepting it; that was what led to the Mindful Age and the destruction of civilization. Nature is fragile and too easily destroyed: it must be understood and then forcefully guided and helped along so that the civilized races (who are also part of nature) can flourish together in a beautiful natural world.
Eymundr is mostly self-sustaining, but sends his half-orc assistant Gorr⁣⁣⁣ to purchase supplies occasionally at Highcliff. More often, denizens of Highcliff will come to Stormcaller Tower⁣ to request magical solutions to problems, as Eymundr is occasionally willing to supply magical goods in exchange for help with his studies. (He often needs specific items from the forest, or even from his own greenhouses, and doesn't want to do it himself.)
