The Bell Family

The Bell family has made it their mission to create order and stability in the region. They are very proud of their walled, fortress city of Ormskirk and guard it aggresively.

Love of Order

What does this faction love most about order?

  • It resolves disputes before they happen
  • It makes the world understandable and fair

What systems do the people who love order hold above all others?

All people are born equal and must therefore be handled with similiar respect. You shall therefore not steal, murder or suppress your fellow people.

What hypocrisies do the tolerate, if any?

Although they are very strict in their believe, offenders will be punished and this might include the death penalty. Also their believes only pertain to humanoids, monsterous creatures might not receive the same treatment.

Relationships

A faction the Bell family consider superior: Themselves

How do they justify this claim?

They feel they are the only ones to fight and strive for order and stability on a daily basis in the Boroughian Wetlands.

What damage has this caused?

They come off as self righteous and arrogant in their interaction with other factions.   A faction the Bell family tolerate reluctantly: The Freefolk

What laws prevents them from openly acting against this faction?

The alliance that brought together all tribes.

How does that faction test this dynamic?

The Freefolk mostly do what they want and don't care for any form of law. The strongest person always makes the decisions so this mean the province is mostly ruled by thugs and raiders. This means they can sometimes harass people from Bellgulf. However any Freefolk caught in Bellgulf land will be promptly judged under Bellgulf law.

Structure

Although founded by the Bell family the clan accepts anyone that strives for the same believes of justice and equality and is willing to help enforce it. The clan follows a mostly patriarchal hierarchy led by the oldest male of the family. The leader is counseled by his brothers, sisters and optionally a few trusted non-family members. To enforce the laws the leader choses a Knight Commander.

All people are created and judged equally
