The Cross

A deserted island, dry and empty. The only construction of The Cross is a Stone Temple that is not dedicated to a specific religion, but to all, operated by a single High Priest named Athaldos Sarathian or “The Scepter”. The place is considered holy and sacred and is visited daily by people of all kingdoms and races that wish to pray and pay their respects. The duty of the High Priest of the Cross has always been at the hands of a Sarathian. The tremendous energy that surrounds the island of the Cross has formed a sanctuary that has not been violated for centuries. It is a well-known spiritual haven, a destination for many travelers and especially priests, regardless of their religion. However, another story is said about the Great Temple. There is a crossroads where many tales seem to describe the frequent appearance of spirits or even demonic creatures that wish to strike a bargain with the visitors of the island. Many stories also entail specific details regarding these agreements, but no one knows the exact cause or the results of this effect.
