Sandport

Capital of Faraway and the seat of colonial power, Sandport is named after the silky, luxurious sand that forms on its beaches. The purity and color of the sand makes it ideal for glassblowing, which influences a large part of the city's culture.

Districts

The Avenue of Glass is the artisan's quarter of the city, holding a large number of glassblowers and their suppliers. Everything from diningware to statuary to windows can be purchased here.

Natural Resources

Sandport itself is famous for its ideal glass-making sand, but it also grows a special type of fruit known as the dragon pear, which is only found to grow naturally in Faraway. While it's difficult to export dragon pears across the sea, sweet treats made using the flavor of the pears are popular in Veraci and many other places.
