Lithium Arrows
Lithium as an element is violently reactive in its natural state. It will readily oxidize with the surrounding air and catch fire, even explode in some cases. Charging it with mana will have a similar effect, causing it to explode with even greater force when it reaches a saturation point. Of course people on Vreathe have figured out how to exploit this property to make more anti-magic weaponry.
the arrow head is about the same size as a standard broadhead arrow. This is to give it maximum cutting power, penetration, and surface area for absorbing mana. Because lithium is a soft and light metal, it has no hope of breaking through steel chainmail, nevermind plate armor. Even particularly thick leather armors have no problen blocking this. A powerful magic shield can prevent it from passing through.
This is not actually a problem as the lithium will absorb mana and then explode with great force, usually enough to break through magic shields, thin leather armor, as well as some varieties of chainmail, allowing a followup shot to break through. It still doesn't have a chance against iron plate armor though.
If the arrow manages to breach all defenses and break into the skin of a magic user, then the results can be catastrophic. The lithium starts reacting immediately with the liquid in the body, and it also starts to rapidly absorb mana. It will then explode, usually taking limbs with it. Very few mages can survive being hit by one of these arrows if they are shot in the torso. If they are shot in a limb, then they probably won't have that limb anymore unless immediate action is taken.
