General Summary

— Harold

Proving Themselves

• The party was greeted by a red haired dwarf with a one horned helmet who did not seem overy convinced regarding their quest.
• Farren recognized him as the king of the dwarves.
• The party attempted to convince him of their skill and honnesty.
• Judy was mixed in her ability to help - being very thorough and honnest in her descriptions of their adventures. When Alton expressed surprise that she was so familiar with so many details, she explained that she had to pay attention so that she could tell her brothers about their adventures when she got home.
• Alton and a dwarven barbarian named Dunstan faced off in a brief duel. Alton tried to show off his melee skills, and was quickly dissapointed by the limited damage he could do without his bow. He went back to ranged combat. The dwarf eventually fell to one knee. Alton assumed that he was heavily injured and offered a hand. He seemed fine afterwards.
• This display seemed minimally acceptable to the king to let the party at least meet his still absent friend.

Fighting Three Dragons

• As Drizzt was mia, after having gone to escort some travellers the previous day, the party and the king and his right hand man all went off to find him.
• They found him, his cat, three dwarves, and three green dragons.
• During the fight, Beau was terrified but her magic was instrumental in limitting the dragon's actions. When a non damaging effect affected one of them, all of them seemed to be affected.
• Harold was also terrified for most of the fight, but persisted in fighting. Despite using the magical focus Ryltar and Fernando had provided him, bad luck caused him to once again be afflicted with spell plague related problems. Beau also set off some wild magic.
• Alton was briefly enamoured by the dragons, causing Farren and Vaena to berate him.
• Vaena attempted to help, tossing a dagger in bird form at one point and losing it in the poison swamp.
• Despite heavy damage, the three dragons were at last defeated.
• It turned out that there was a fourth, but he seemed to be sleeping, half a humanoid corpse under one wing, some papers under his feet, something in this claws, and drool coming from his mouth.

Generosity and Avarice

• Farren rushed over to two of the dwarves who had fallen in the fight, healing one and raising the other from the dead. The third dwarf was extremely grateful.
• He asked if his diamond could be replaced.
• Vaena sheepishly asked Alton if he could fetch her lost dagger.
• Alton took damage from the swamp. Farren and Harold used their magic to locate the dagger and pull it from the swamp with mage hand. A gold chain came up with it.
• Captain Farren nearly drained his entire health pool wading into the swamp, uncovering various treasures.
• Everyone agreed to take a short rest before dealing with the remaining dragon.
