General Summary
Alton: "We're not dating if that's what your thinking... She's just a gold digger." Beau: "Hey!" Harold: "They're very shy about their relationship" Alton: "I AM IN A RELATIONSHIP WITH A VERY BEAUTIFUL WOMAN. SHE IS A GODDESS!" Beau: "He means that literally." Alton: "Her name is Aurolyr." Harold: "They make up such cute pet names for each other" Alton: "I will stab you."
All crew on deck!
- Knowing the approaching time limit, the crew made a great effort to hurry, pushing the ship to it's limits.
- Alton fed the fire elemental, Beau and Harold bolstered the elementals, Harold momentarily became fire and entered the engine to power it with Crackle. The captain directed the crew to perfection.
- Harold inadvertantly summoned a storm on top of them.
- Alton tied down the ropes when they came loose. Fernando brought dry clothing following the storm.
- The captain, inspired by Beau and joined by Alton and then the rest of the crew, began a sea shanty, greatly lifting morale.
- At one point, Beau dominated a wyvern and convinced some birds to help pull the ship. This was not particularly effective, but it seemed the wyvern was fleeing from something.
Harold is once again experiencing spell plague related difficulties
- Ryltar, noticing that Harold had been casting his spells without a lianyte infused focus, fished out a suitable orb from Fernando's many collected baubles. He offered it to Harold, but Harold kept calling him Gim. Ryltar became frustrated and just threw the orb and Harold.
- It became clear that Harold was hallucinating.
- Captain Farren, atop Fortune, flew up to retrieve him when he dashed upwards, feeling he was falling.
- Harold thought he had been rescued by Tiana.
- Once more, Krumbleton prepared a meal to cure his crewmate.
- After placing the soufflé on his head, in a vision, where he was told by a figure who called him "Cas" and asked if he should tell Harold about his father, to consume his crown, Harold was once again feeling better.
- It was at this point that he became fire, now using the floating orb spellcasting focus, to help speed the ship along a little faster.
Alton and Rayne
- Alton went to speak with Rayne, asking if Harold's actions with the dust of the nameless goddess were having long term effects on him. Rayne explained that Harold's plight was probably just because Harold was being affected by the state of magic in the world. He wondered aloud whether the nameless goddess could or would return to Vyaelian. Alton pointed out that she had sealed Vyaelian away in the first place, so, presumably, she could remove the barrier or just let herself back in. Rayne was silent, then changed the subject, looking for food he should try in Alton's home city.
- Alton later tried to pray to Aurolyr. Rayne very obviously pinched the coin from his hand and told Alton to pray aloud.
- Unnerved by the crew's speculations regarding his brother, Alton sought answers from the orb of truth and possibility. He saw one vision of Ballock lying headless across the room from his mother and Ryltar getting into a fight (Something along the lines of Is my brother alive?). He then saw a vision of a man sitting on a couch and flipping a coin in the air (Where is my brother Ballock),
Harold, Just Harold, Nothing Else
- Owing to the exceptional performance of the crew, the Divine Retribution arrived over Settlestone with 10 days remaining on Alton's deadline.
- They were greeted by some very confused dwarves.
- They were able to convince the dwarves to speak with them, and send a message.
- One group of dwarves were horrified that Beau had only some worthless armour that "only worked in water". Unfortunately, Beau was too thin and frail to wear even their most delicate armours. They sold her some studded leather.
