General Summary
The Storm
- The party sailed eastward towards Tiana's last known location
- Harold used the orb of truth and possibility to look for Tiana. The orb sparked and fizzled, apparently having some difficulty in what it was trying to do. Harold glimpsed the hallway of a wooden building, with windows open to clouds, and ceremonial weapons hanging on the walls.
- Harold took the helm, attempting to cast his spells through the ship, with some success.
- The northern end of the nearest sky island was completely covered by storms.
- The party, assured by Harold that he could help, sailed straight into the storm.
- The storm was an elemental, and spoke of intruders.
- The party struggled against the storm. The sails were tied up. Everyone went below deck. The captain fought the storm and supported Harold. Beau and Crunch dodged kitchenware. Alton and Ryltar stoked the engines with all the wood in the storage chest. Harold pushed the ship to speeds greater than it was designed for. He also received a magical seatbelt.
- The ship hit something
- The ship was damaged, but sailed above the storm.
- Boxholder was killed by the acceleration, but was resuscitated by the captain. He seemed charged with electricity after this.
The Air Mephit
- Past the first island, the party found a strong south eastward air current. Harold used it to speed the ship along but continued straight east.
- A couple days past the storm, a slightly crushed air mephit crawled onto the ship.
- He said that his name was Victor Ambrosio XVII, or Vladimir, or something else
- He claimed to be good at finding things, and used an item from his bag to almost find Alton.
- He proudly claimed to be a traveler from another world
- He claimed that he had not worked for any thief since he came to Vyaelian
- When the party claimed to also be from far away, he asked Alton if they knew each other. They did not.
- The captain attempted to recruit Victor/Vladimir but was not convincing enough
- The mephit did decide to stick around for a while.
- The mephit's bag seemed to contain some questionable items.
The Woods
- The captain called Finn to see how they might approach sky elves without getting into a fight. Finn asked if they had a representative, and mentioned that the Meliri Woods were generally welcoming
- The party chose to visit southern Merili to seek aid in reparing the damage to the ship.
- Beau, Alton, Harold, and Ryltar approached some lights in the forest.
- Gantar remarked that the stars above were strange, not like the stars below... except one. One seemed almost familiar
- A group of sky elves was performing a series of funerals.
- The group offered healing, but decined helping the party with their "warship" but did indicate that there might be the resources to the north, if the party had good relations with the Fajyri.
- Harold returned to the ship, and only agreed to wait thirty minutes for the others.
- Beau, Alton, and Ryltar, were asked if they were lost, and told they weren't to be selling weapons here.
- Beau observed the ritual song carefully.
- Alton asked a cleric for help, concerned about Kayelin's silence and his own health, but did not tell her what exactly he thought was wrong. She asked if he had lost anyone recently.
- On the way back to the ship, Beau, Alton, and Ryltar almost crashed the rowboat.
- A pixie approached the group and wanted to tag along. She seemed mischievious but genuinely curious.
- Harold kicked the mephit of the ship.
- The pixie was brought onto the ship. When Harold introduced himself as King Harold XII of the Sky Elf kingdom of new Na'a Na'a, she introduced herself as "Pricess Lilac of the sky pixie kingdom of uh Flowerfront".
