General Summary
Knocking on Doors
- The party attempted to move the light Farren had found to the door bolted to the wall
- The light seemed to response, a little to common and mostly to elvish, but it did not move that way. It did try to move closer to the wall.
- The light was pale and blue (except when it flashed red) and cold except for the center but somewhat reminiscent of Gantar's light.
- Eventually, Alton knocked on the wall and a room with an enormous bearskin rug was revealed.
- The rug grabbed people as they approached, but did not deal damage.
- It hugged until patted gently.
- The party eventually snuck into the tunnel underneath it after distracting it with a pair of persuaded skeletons.
- Harold called for Zed as he descended the lopsided, broken, old staircase.
Down Down Down
- There was evidence of recent clearing, though the staircase, giant sized, seemed to have been there for ages. It was in poor condition.
- Eventually, the party found a crossroads.
- In one direction, a forcefully dug tunnel led to a hole in the wall where the party observed a wide lake, with fire burning atop the water. There was a giant sized statue of a hooded woman with a bloody ax in one hand and a wilted rose in the other rising up from the middle of the lake. A chair and a damaged piece of stone and metal (it looked like something had been torn off) was visible on the near side. On the far side, the shadows of piles of giant sized skeletons were visible. A winding staircase led towards another entrance on the far side.
- Returning to the staircase and descending further, the party eventually found themselves hanging over a void within the underground. The staircase ended with a jagged tear.
- The party found a creaky sign with "SHHHH" written on it. There was a shard of mirrored glass glued to the back side.
- Alton noticed a rope in the reflection in his mirror and the shard.
- The party touched the shard and found themselves in a mirror world again.
The Mellow Cello
- There were many moving buildings and places and boats marked by various archways.
- The party followed the rope that Zed had tied. It was a thin silver rope.
- It looked to go on for miles but when they followed it, it only seemed 100 ft
- From far, they saw a castle with banners of a ringed hand weilding a scepter. From near, they only saw an arch.
- Through the arch, they found themselves in a fancy hallway. There was a door and a sign that said "King Raymond's Mellow Cello".
- Inside was a hooded man who reportedlyhad a boar's head playing a cello nonstop. The bartender identified him as King Raymond.
- The Bartender was the frost/shadow giant Scorn. He was willing to talk but a bit forgetfull.
- Most of what Scorn had behind the bar was blood, but he had some beer which he cautioned the party not to mention to Raymond.
- Scorn revealed that Zed had been there before, but had not been seen in weeks.
- The giant was trapped in the bar.
- Scorn said he had heard of Harold.
- He mentioned there having been two Zeds in his bar once, and one had been unhappy with the prospect of staying behind.
- He mentioned that Zed had stolen a horn.
- He mentioned Zed had mentioned something about Harold mocking a god and the witches when discussing where he was going.
Deanna
- A crow flew into the bar, coughed up a note, and flew outside.
- The note, with very nice handwriting read : I could not help but notice your extremely bright descent to Raymond's old castle.I invite you to di- join me under a flag of truce. To talk. -Deanna
- The party followed the crow, which squeezed through a crack in the door of one of the other arches.
- It was revealed that this building had once belonged to Lys. There was a dining table with three chairs and a torn /burnt tapestry.
- Deanna, the red haired hag who had ties to the Merchants' Guild and their fight club was lounging on a couch with a drink in hand. It appeared to be a clear red juice. She was stirring it with a bone.
- She tried to push the party to interfere with Vickie's plans in Ogmothynstar. She claimed she could never interfere directly herself as that would invalidate the terms of her wager with her sister. She claimed that the Great Beast might make an appearance if nothing were done.
- She tried to tempt the party, offering news of Rust, to help Alton with Kayelin, to help Beau put on some shows etc. The party said no thanks.
- She claimed she had nothing against the party.
- She went on her way.
- The party left Lys's old house without exploriing and decided to check a boat with a blue/purple arch for Zed.
- The party found themselves in Deanna's captain's quarters on the mirror version of her boat.
- Deanna walked in wearing a fluffy bathrobe, equally fluffy slippers, a pice of toast in her mouth and a book she was writing in in her hand.
- The party chose to leave, though they thought of fighting her. She mentioned she had a great fight playlist but would rather they leave.
Lucy
- Still seeking Zed, the party headed towards what appeared to be a typical graveyard. Surely Zed was there.
- Alton uttered Vickie's name in the void and the things began to move. A house started hovering towards the party.
- The little graveyard also had a blue/purple fancy arch.
- The graves were all empty, dug up from the inside. The area had necromantic and fiendish energy. Kayelin did not like it, but she had felt confusion and anger for most of the trip.
- There was a crypt in the center
- Beau observed the writing on the graves. On a reflective plaque on the crypt was written:
-
Lucy TwigTrickle2703 bdc - 2436 bdc
-
May your curse awaken long after your death to rend your enemies when they have forgotten you
-
The most recent grave was dated to 2428 adc
- Alton knocked on the sealed crypt. He was answered by the dead Lucy Twigtrickle.
- Lucy asked if she could have Alton's name. Alton gave the name of his brother and subsequently forgot his brother's name.
- When asked who killed her, Lucy claimed it was Aqilan.
- Lucy would not accept Alton's mother's name as it was not his to give. Ballock though, was dead, and the only one who cared about him was Alton so she claimed it was his enough to give.
- Lucy asked for a coin to give his brother's name back. An outstretched hand, gnarled with unkept nails appeared. It was in a position similar to Lyra's statues. The party stopped Alton from doing this.
