General Summary
Zed: "And who are they? Our replacements?"
Harold: "Yes."
Zed: "... ok yeah, you are definitely Harold."
Alton and Lucy
- Alton considered offering his name to Lucy to remember his brother's.
- Alton's bird was unable to communicate with him telepathically, but squacked "liar" and made a fuss.
- Alton chose to walk away.
- Harold learned from Gantar that Lucy Twigtrickle was known as the Bloodwitch and an alchemist of sorts.
Sneaking by
- The party returned to the Coven's mirror dimension hub to see Vickie Bitterheart's house had moved to the rope Zed had left behind.
- The rope was cut.
- The party quietly snuck past towards the fountain.
- If Vickie noticed them, she did not interfere. It is possible she was distracted.
The Fountain
- Through the foutain's blue-violet arch brought the party into a narrow cave. The ground was wet, but the water was not deep (maybe 1 inch). Droplets trickled down the walls, sparking slightly with magic when they hit the water on the ground.
- It was quiet.
- Beau the Bombastic Bard used helped the party take a 10 minute rest, as they did not want to linger in what was likely the home of a (albeit dead) hag longer than necessary.
- Harold drank some of the water. His armour and helmet did not seem to react though he did get some hit die back.
- Walking down the hallway further, the scenery suddenly shifted to the outdoors. It looked similar to Reveer. There was a temple behind them. Within it was a statue of an elf-like woman who may have been Wisteria and a fountain. The fountain was, however, not within a mountain side.
- The party used the orb of truth and possibility.
- After some impatience from Harold, the party touched the fountain water and found themselves in a cave again. There seemed to be the remanants of a fountain with skeletons frozen in positions that made it look like they were crawling away.
- There was water trickling down the unstable rocks.
- Harold used his cape to get outside.
Uh Oh
- Outside, Harold saw that there was an enormous skeletal dragon. The forest and the buildings to the north of the island were on fire. There was a skyship flying away. A group of sky elves on pegasi tried to attack the dragon with radiance but, while this did seem to hurt the dragon, it also seemed to absorb the power and throw it back. Many of the pegasi and sky elves were knocked from the sky.
- Harold used his magic to dig downward, helping the rest of the party out of the buried fountain.
- Harold wanted to attack the dragon but Farren and Alton were a bit more hesitant.
- Fernando desperately tried to slow Harold down, fearing for his life.
- Alton rescued a falling sky elf. He got his bird to heal the man slightly (she was immediately stressed out by this request).
- The sky elf revealed that the Qivari made an attempt to banish the Fajyri from the sacred island, due to the war. The Fajyri had brought non sky elves on their warship to fight the Qivari off. Thanks to one of the Fajyri's insistence, and since this was sacred ground, they had been in the prcess of discussing terms for Reveer in particular. Then the dragon had risen. The Qivari immediately assumed it was a Fajyri-notuan alliance trap and attacked the dragon.
Rayne I and II
- Noticing that the rest of the party was not following, Harold returned to the others.
- The pegasi group was also retreating.
- The party noticed that one building on the island seemed untouched and descended to Rayne's cottage. (they were flying thanks to the powers of Friendship, Fortune, and Fernando's Fly spell).
- After knocking, they were greeted by a slightly out of character Rayne.
- After some questioning, a little red headed girl shows up, laughs at Rayne I, and then tranforms into another Rayne.
- It was revealed that Rayne I and Rayne II were two of the three people Rayne had asked to take care of his house while he was away.
- Their story lined up with what the party learned from the qivari elf. Rayne I, whose name was Tiga, claimed there had been a man with a horn somewhere off in the mountains, who ran off.
- Rayne II hurried outside to fetch the shrunk mountain and place it inside the cottage where it would be safe.
- Since Rayne I had offered the cottage as a safe place, the party mentioned the injured elf they had left behind. Rayne II w went off to fetch him.
- Rayne I agreed to help find the man, takes on the appearance of a shadowy spider and runs off.
Zed! Not Zed?
- The party finds Zed and Tiga, who, after being attacked by Zed in her Rayne appearnace, took on the appearance of a silvery haired woman.
- Zed was not swayed, and continued to attack an annoyed Tiga, until he barely scratched her and then seemed distracted by something only he could see.
- The party approached Zed who at first took them to be illusions or tricks of the hags.
- Harold convinced Zed they were real.
- Zed was saddened by news of Rust's death.
- Zed had stolen a horn from the ice giants to raise the dragon, wanting to bring the dragon back to attack the hags.
- Zed claimed that he had not escaped.
- Zed refused his spellbook.
- The party concluded that this Zed was a slightly strange simulacrum.
- The party decided that they needed the help of the two retreating armies.
- Tiga Mae, wanting to go back to drinking and chilling and not really doing much at Rayne's cottage agreed to distract the dragon for as long as she could or about an hour maybe.
- The dragon was distracted by whatever illusions she showed it.
