The Shoe Quest
At the very edge of the small floating island upon which the party found a nearly abandoned Company outpost, Alton found a lone shoe. It was discovered amidst week old blood stains on the floor.
When Alton attempted to hunters mark these blood droplet, the spell briefly took hold for a second, revealing for one thing, that the blood had come from two separate individuals. After this, the spell fizzled, presumably because the target was not properly valid. Alton could not figure out where they had come from or where they had gone.
The shoe itself seemed elven in design and had a mark on the inside. It was good quality, though the buckle was broken. Alton later questioned Sentinel about the shoe, asking where the maker's mark (a stylized harp symbol) was from.
Thelar later identified the mark as being from Different Strings, a massive shop located in Caiaryn.
A Different Strings merchant (a blue haired satyr) in the Halls of Thor and Milor claimed that the shoe looked to be Darfin's work, though he could not say who had bought it.
Darfin reportedly lived in Caiaryn but often went on "hunts".
