Shopping and Family 23/3/2458

General Summary

Krumbleton Also Visits the Armour Shop

  • Krumbleton visited the same shopkeep as the rest of the party had earlier in the day.
  • The still sleepy short storm giant, who maintained that he was a regular sized giant, was visibly excited to meet the chosen of Thor who bested Dimir.
  • He mentioned something about a disagreement over who should be in charge in the storm giant lands.
  • Krumbleton commissioned a suit of +2 plate armour with a cape and valkyrie design pattern.
  • The giant said it would be ready within three days time.

Rust's Adventures

  • Rust visited a smith in the far end of the underground shopping complex.
  • The smith was a dark elf who wore his hair tied back, and stumbled a bit on his words.
  • The smith claimed there was no ready supply of mithril in the land below.
  • The smith indicated that lianyte was obtainable but only through the School (which had a special license for lianyte distribution), or through house Telin directly.
  • Rust inquired at the wizards' information desk for a place to buy a translation device.
  • Rust was directed to Dilvar's Doohickeys, a small miscellaneous magical department within Different Strings.
  • Dilvar's Doohickeys was hidden away in a corner of the store. It did not appear well organized. Some items seemed  to move of their own accord, or possibly by the hands of unseen assistants.
  • The man running this shop wore a hood that completely hid his face. He was leaning back, bobbing his head up and down in a steady pace when Rust arrived. He seemed startled.
  • The man introduced himself as Luvon.
  • Luvon claimed that the nearest mithril deposit was in the lost Isle of Roses. Luvon did not reveal how he knew this.
  • Luvon claimed he had recently "inherited" Dilvar's Doohickeys and explained inheritance to Rust.
  • Rust purchased a horn that could translate languages heard when held to his ear and languages spoken when held to the mouth.
  • Rust visited the Library.

The Library

  • Alton found one weird journal that mentioned the delightful goddess of his homeland.
  • It mentioned the Zielnet, a fading cult, a heretic leader, and many stolen children snatched away from a sacrificial altar.
  • Rust joined Alton in the library.

Rillae Would Like to See Her Children

  • Rillae was fed up with Harold and left him in the care of her guard, Agro II.
  • Agro II amused himself doing parkour while dragging Harold by an invisible tether. Harold kept up for the most part.
  • Harold tried to call Rillae old. Harold is 45. Agro II is 24.
  • Rillae found Alton in Different Strings. She threatened him, saw Wyn's necklace with her house insignia on him, demanded to know where Ryltar and Wyn were.
  • Wyn's full name is Syviswyn Ardun Lyvenar.
  • Ryltar's full name is Ryltar Kethan Lyvaenar.
  • With Ryltar showing himself, Wyn showing herself, and a lot of help from Rust, Alton barely managed to calm Rillae enough to avoid imprisonment or worse.
  • Rillae bid her children and Rust return to her house for dinner.
