They met in a tavern 20/4/2458-22/4/2458 ADC
General Summary
Just Another Day in the Bar
- A bard attempted to liven up the space with a merry tune, but it was not his best performance. Joined by a cleric and his pipes, he did much better, though the cleric was perhaps distracted and did not end up contributing much.
- A strange sky elf, with nearly transluscent skin and glowing blue eyes was there to start trouble, heckling the bard and giving the bartented a hard time for serving meat.
- A short girl, a halfling in truth, was so stealthy in her approach of the counter, and in leaving once she had her drink, that the bar tender was for a while convinced that he had just served a beer to the ghost of a child.
- Apparently there were rumours that ghosts had been ambushing trade caravans from Thur. Or maybe it was bandits. Or wild animals.
- Thur exports mainly paper, iron, steel, and gold
- The squabbling of the bard and the sky elf druid escalated to spell tricks and eventually, there was a slight run in with the guards.
- Casting spells is not illegal in town, well, so long as you avoid physical harm and property damage.
- The guards told the bickering adventurers to calm down. The aventurers offered them drinks.
A job?
- Posted on a board in the bar was a request to safely escort a trade convoy across the particular stretch of road along the Northpath Tradeway where the last several groups had mysteriously dissapeared.
- It was posted by one Kakea Flaskbrewer.
- The starting point was about a day and a half away. The the shipment was scheduled to be leaving that point in a weeks time.
- 100 gold pieces were offered as recompense.
- Poppy snatched the posting believing she could handle it herself.
- Beerum and Braa attempted to convince her otherwise.
- They agreed to split the reward. Braa said he would take 1 gp and the story as payment
- ... The sky elf dissapeared and turned into a squirrel. And followed them.
A pleasant stroll
- The area was woodland, mostly.
- Other than finding a squirrel, not much of not happened on the first part of the trek.
- Eventually, they found a cart wheel in the middle of the road, roots growing through it.
- Further down, on the side of the road, was an abandonned, empty carriage.
- The group set up camp.
- The sqirrel was the druid!
- At night, the druid conversed with an owl during her watch. The owl was strange. It kept asking who who who it was. Where was it's son? It's boss was Heggalin.
- The group tried to follow the owl for a time, though it seemed the owl was leading them down the same road they had already been travelling on. Tired, they decided to finish their rest.
- During his shift, Braa did not notice anything, though Eliza dimly recalled someone walking righ tin front of the bard.
- The group looked for footprints but lost the trail in the woods.
