Druid
Class
Some shamans hold a deep appreciation for, and connection to, the untamed places of Bukana. Much as barbarians are the martial champions of the wilderness tribes, druids are their babaylan spiritual leaders. These priests hold the natural world in great esteem and harness its power. Druids council balance with the wilds and seek to protect both nature and those societies that live in harmony with it. Druids form secret alliances with fellows that share the same practices with themselves. These “circles” are widely scattered, but manage to communicate through traveling members and in annual festival moots.
In many tribal regions of WakeSong, druids fulfill the needs of more urbane folks. They see to the spiritual protection and guidance of their people, as well as to matters of agriculture and survival. The Circle of the Land is a worldwide organization that sees to the health of the leylines that crisscross the planet. They are incredibly secretive and apparently have some means of traveling vast distances in a short span of time.
The priestesshood of the Sky Sisters of Bukana do not conform to the strict tenets of other organized religions. Rather than building churches and hierarchies, the Circle of the Sisters revere the celestial movements of their patrons, operating as a fellowship of equals.
In stark contrast, the sinister Circle of Webs has woven a secret network of information and lies throughout the courts of WakeSong. What these druids hope to achieve with their machinations is known only to them.
