Unbeknownst to most of Bukana’s people, the islands sit within a vast undersea empire of Merfolk. The Queendom of Yeam encircles and includes Bukana . The freshwaters of the isles are, theoretically, under the rule of the Kataw highfolk monarch Rani Trahngan III, she holds this place in contempt. Therefore, the Tubignon riverfolk, Sirena, and other merfolk are left largely to fend for themselves.
This nation is part of the larger Mhasamot Thassalocracy empire that stretches to Ratakuna, the Jadelands, and beyond.
