Adaephon

Adaephon is one of the ten major planes of the Eridún Crux and namesake of the Adaephite Eighth section of the Greater Eridún Crux Region (GECR). The most vast of the major ten at over 7,900 km in diameter, it is a heavily waterworld-type plane with only a small fraction of its population on land: the vast majority of its settlements are either floating, pelagic structures or rest on the ocean floors.

Major Humanoid cultures on Adaephon include true merfolk, adaros, ichthyocentaurs, nagaji and kuo-tua, as well as a wide variety of terrestrial races on its scattered islands. It is also home to Arthropoid families such as the homarids, medusans and scyllarans, as well as a Reptiloid family known as the silurians.

Adaephon is one of the major aquacultural hubs of the interplanar Daybreak Empire.

Their demonym is Adaephite.

The Adaephite Eighth

The major (Class III+) planes in the Adaephite Eighth of the GECR, ordered by population, include:

  • Enmesharra
  • Medullum
  • Earthrise
  • Ildun-Ellora
  • Lavinium

Role in Planar Classification

Being the largest of the Cruxplanes (and nearly the largest of all known planes), Adaephon is used in the Daybreak Empire's Planar Classification System, where the middle two digits are the plane's size as a percentage of Adaephon's.
