Haddin

Haddin lives on a farm with his daughter Crystin just outside the Innenotdar Fire Forest. The party came across their farm on their way to The Lyceum. Crystin insisted the party convince Haddin to leave the farm to avoid the oncoming Ragesian Scourge.   Jack knew who Haddin was - he was an artist in Gate Pass. His brother was Mandragor, a criminal. Mandragor went straight, and people believed Haddin had used magic to dominate his brother to force his redemption. It was soon espoused that Haddin had used his magic to control many people, although all of them did good while under his assumed control. Mandragor died in a riot while trying to defend Haddin's actions. The artist mage left town with his wife and young daughter. His daughter would occasionally return to Gate Pass to gather supplies.   Haddin seemed to have some level of control over Crystin while the party dined with them. This prompted both Jack and Rayland to attempt to convince him to leave the farm. He staunchly refused both of them, leading the party to discuss outside what to do.   In the night of E9 - Snatch and Scourge, a Ragesian Empire Inquisitor attacked the farm with his goons in an attempt to end Haddin's life. The party fought off the attackers, but during the fight, Haddin was rendered unconscious. After the fight, Crystin revealed to the party that she was, in fact, being controlled by Haddin, and the only thing that allowed her to speak to them was his near-death state. She begged the party to bring her with them.   The next morning E10 - Into the Inferno, the party decided to take Crystin with them, but leave Haddin behind.
