Airiot
"Do they just not hear the pun?"- Ratnik Creig Vyenski
Antiquated by Design.
Designed for use for the Bridge Way Monarchy by a captured Fields Union scientist. The Airiot is a vehicle derived from the Chariot. Specifically replacing the animal at the front of the vehicle with a full Ontomobile Flight Core, pulling the wheeled carriage behind it at speeds above those possible by a living animal. Due to the nature of its creation, the designer intentionally made the vehicle not as effective as it could be, introducing problems with its axle assembly and suspension. In more modern productions of the vehicle, the wheel assembly is replaced with a second Flight Core in the carriage designed entirely with stability in mind. However, in trying to optimize for both stability and speed, the vehicle inherits the benefits of neither and the problems of both design philosophies. Being unstable at fast speeds, and being sluggish in slower maneuvers. The saving grace of the Airiot is the cheapness of it, making it more economic for cavalry than traditional mounts. This has led to the unintentional social backlash of making Cag mounted infantry a sign of status in the Diamond Guard. The Airiot is the cheapest of all Ontomobiles found on Plenumia.
