Melisternian

Melisternian. also known as Old Speech, or Ædspræc in the native tongue, was the primairy language in use in the Melistern Empire, as well as the lingua franca on most of West-Argo during the First Age of the Man. With the split between Ceasterwyrtha and Angengán peoples the Angengán notably adopted influences from a wide variety of other languages, leading to the birth of the Angengán Creoles, a distinct linguistic family which birthed among others the Prabaiian and Asharan languages.

It was a great influence to many other languages, forming the basis of the Arteri language family, with High Vexan, Uruque and Thenosian as the most widely spoken languages of that family today.
