Military action
Intense civil war, between several city states, over the succession of the throne. Hellaine De Lors emerged as the victor after 2 years of bloody conflict. The war initially had many parties, with a complex web of alliances and treachery. But it eventually settled into a battle for power between the Southern states, led by Festenburg, and the Northern Cities led by Andasia.
Eventually the war came to its conclusion at the Battle of the Salt Fields where Hellaine De Lors overcame the stronger forces of the North in one of the bloodiest battles on record. Her weaker forces allied with the power of a new political and religious force which has since become known as The Scourge in order to seize control of the Northern cities once the Army itself had been defeated.
