History
An old Coaching Inn believed to depict an legand from the time when the nearby forest was haunted by beastmen.
It is said that the Beastmen summoned a monstrous beast called a Preyton at a herdstone in the forest that began to prey upon the sheep and villagers of Havelfurt. But that in an act of desperation the villagers began offering it pitchers of ale to distract it from its murderous intent and that the beast became so drunk that it could barely stand and was no longer a threat to the town.
